Kurelic @ BN: Michigan Nearing Ohio Commitment
Warren (Ohio) Harding wide receiver D.J. Williamson landed a scholarship offer from Michigan today and it may not be long until he commits to the Wolverines.

...

"I'm going to Michigan on Friday," Williamson said. "I'm going to stay for their (spring) practice on Saturday. I'd say Michigan is my favorite. I might commit (this weekend). I've been a Michigan fan my whole life."

Good athlete with good size. Nothing stands out in terms of speed, YAC or anything else. Kinda like the other receiver they got from Ohio. Best of luck to this kid except for one game out of the year, but if you are a Buck fan, you gotta love where Michigan's recruiting is going so far.

Well, if you go on their Scout site, they seem to think they're having one heck of a 2010 class so far. I guess their standards with Dick Rod have gone down a bit. I'm not surprised nor upset one bit. :)

Can he play DL or LB? RR certainly has a type...

He certainly does.

still confused why so many kids want to play receiver under Rodriguez in a system terribly fit to maximize your ability.
Good question overall, but WGH has a decent pipeline to scUM and D.J. has expressed much admiration for fellow WGH alum Mario Manningham. Plus, I can't access the scout/rivals database from work, but I don't recall many names matching m*ch*g*n's on his offer list.
