Implying that a recruit isn't quality enough to get an offer and that "experts" like himself think he is ood but not great---Bo Pelini and Dantonio think he i a stud...They know more about defense than everyone on this site combined...He needs to tone it down because I perceive him to be lighting the kid...perception is reality my friend...I wouldn't be suprised if e has fmil that frequents tis board...hint...hint.

This isn't just another year as far as talent in Ohio...this talent is once every 10 years type talent.

If we are done offering/recruiting DE's then why do 3-4 other DE's have offers?

Well i the shoe fits put it on...I have bashed recruits before and I was dea wrong about doing it...plus if you bash recruits it probably isn't the first time you have done it.

AKA you're family. I think you need to chill out dude. The fact that we're talking about him this much should say enough about him as a player. People are entitled to their opinion though and there IS a way of saying "no" without bashing a player. If people couldn't express themselves without being accused of "bashing" someone then discussion would be pointless. Again, I think you need to chill out.

Why is so much of a big deal being made over a guy not even offered by tOSU? If he shows he's good enough, I'm sure he'd earn an offer in camp, if not oh well. Don't understand why some don't understand that we already have 2 of the nations best DEs(only bringing that up because it seems like most feel that Grace will end up there). No need to complain about a guy, who I'm sure is talented, but we are doing pretty well at the position and have a number of other guys rated wayyy above him who still have the Bucks in the mix. Brutus2002 would you rather have Grace than say Lynch, Farrris, Pagan or Clowney?

IMO if the Bucks don't offer he should go to Nebraska. Pelini will have him tearing it up in a couple of years. I definately don't want him going to a school in the B10. It is his decision...He should camp this summer at OSU...He will definately know his standing after that.

Remember that sometime family members read stuff and feel it is negative because they don't have experience on recruiting board.

I wave the white flag...you guys win

Pelini and Dantonio know what they are doing...sorry dude but they know more than you and the recruiting services

Since when does offers from Michigan State and Nebraska mean a guy is a five star? Or even warrant an Ohio State offer for that matter?

Jarret is a good player. No one is saying he's not. What is being said is he MAY not be an Ohio State quality linebacker. He may be best suited at defensive end at the next level, where we are completely loaded.

Hey may eventually get an offer, but there are guys that the staff likes more at linebacker AND defensive end. I tend to trust OUR guys over Pelini and Dantonio.

So we should stop giving objective opinions or evaluations on players? If people can't handle it then they probably shouldn't be on message boards.

It seems like ND and scUM are going after all the OH players OSU isn't interested in. I hope they don't think they can beat tOSU with a strategy like that.

Just about every school in America, except Ohio State, has interest in Grace. Not sure why you automatically think that Grace or other players suck just because OSU doesn't want them...and, for the record, I am still stunned that OSU doesn't want this kid...but that's just my opinion.

No offense H&G, but he didn't say they sucked or imply it, imo. Grace is obviously a talent, tOSU just might not have a spot for him. In fact, I think most here think he's a player and would love to see him in scarlet and gray.

H&G,

You are a great resource on this board and a great ambassador for the kids of the Colerain district and the surrounding schools. I value all the input you've had on those kids going back to your info in Tyler Moeller's recruitment and eventual commitment. If I recall, Tyler did not receive his offer until late in the fall. Is the Grace family upset or offended they seem to be on a similar timeline with that of Moeller's recruitment? Especially in a year when the staff may take as few as 2 linebackers and has a great class of more traditional DL talent locked down or strongly considering.

You just seem a little perturbed and defensive on the subject of Jarrett and I was curious if this was aimed more at the fanbase/message board fanbase or at the coaching staff of tOSU itself?

I can not speak for the Grace family, nor would I...my frustration is simply that he's an Ohio kid with offers from every major conference and many major programs...except his in state school that he wants an offer from. Its not like he's a 1 star recruit with bad grades. He's an honor student who wants to be a surgeon in the future and will grade between 4 or 5 stars. I guess it just sucks that it comes down to a numbers game and OSU can't use a player like that...and you KNOW the fanbase is going to crack on Cincinnati/southwest Ohio when he goes to Michigan (will offer soon, I hear) or Notre Dame as 'we can't recruit or never get kids from down there'...in this case that would be a flat out lie...OSU just didn't want him.

Yes, I am frustrated, personally by the lack of attention from OSU. Fortunately, Grace has higher character than I do and he is not letting it bother him.
