Did we recently offer young master Grace?

Some of my ND "aquaintences" are stating such.

If so do we have a leg to stand on?

Rivals list an offer from but Scout doesn't. I don't think we offered. Go back through the thread to see if there any posts saying we offered, but I doubt you'll find one.

Brian Snow of Rivals says no offer was ever sent out so it might just be a typo in the Rivals system that diddy's ND "aquaintences" are referring to...

Interesting but the ND Rivals article isinuates that Grace himself has said he was recently offered by OSU and 'Bama.

I could be incorrect and it could just be the ND writer trying to pump up how "Kelly is dominating Ohio".

I'll get confirmation next week when I am up at the school to cover some stuff for my website...

...but with DePriest heading to the SEC on the heels of Hicks heading off to Texas...I stand by my original opinion that Grace should have received an offer. It made no sense to me that he didn't. Yes, I know it was a numbers game, but I looked at the numbers realistically, and the LB's that OSU did offer were going to be battles that, honestly, OSU doesn't seem to win very often. Yet you had a 4 star kid who wanted an OSU offer and got ignored...if OSU did offer at this stage I don't think it would make a difference. Jarrett is a very loyal kid. He gave his word to ND and he will live up to it.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion yet (even assuming Trey goes to Bama). There's a decent chance OSU won't offer another LB anyway, and they seem to have the current LB offers rated higher than Grace. Even if OSU misses on Price/Crowell/etc., is it a given that Grace would have been next in line for an offer?

It's one thing to have the opinion that you'd take Grace over or along side Price/Crowell/etc., but it looks really biased to say "It made no sense" when there's a decent (very high imo) possibility that he still wouldn't have been offered even if they knew Trey was Bama bound the whole time.

You're right and I don't hide my bias in this case. I'm a Colerain alumn and an OSU fan...Love it when kids from my high school go to Columbus.
