Moeller WR Monty Madaris getting closer to college decision
01/10/12
Written by mdyer

Moeller senior WR Monty Madaris could make his college decision sometime next week, according to the family.

Madaris, who is one of the state?s top players in the 2012 class, has been considered schools that include UC, Michigan State and Kentucky among his finalists, according to the family. Ohio State has shown interest in Madaris but hasn?t offered.

Madaris, the AP Southwest District Division I offensive player of the year, had 56 receptions for 1,137 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also had 280 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

I could care less about the big 10, and I don't want to see this kid for 3-4 years, like to see him at UC as well.

Agreed, this kid is far from sloppy seconds. Id put him up against any of the wrs on our roster on any given day

Madaris is a player!

Which is why I'd much rather seem him in the B1G rather than a sad sack mid-major school in northern Kentucky.

Yes I want to see the B1G be as strong as possible. Being afraid to face a player (regardless of who it is) is sad.

(And we should probably avoid cluttering up Monty's thread too much with the aside stuff)

ESPN - WR Monty Madaris offers timetable

1/13

The top uncommitted prospect in Ohio has a timetable for when a decision will come.

Four-star receiver Monty Madaris (Cincinnati/Moeller) told ESPN.com he is looking to decide in two weeks.

Madaris was scheduled to visit Michigan this weekend, but Madaris said he will not make that trip. He officially visited nearby Cincinnati and Michigan State in December.
