'13 PA OT Dorian Johnson (Pitt Verbal)

The 6-foot-6, 285-pound Johnson said he is now considering Pitt, Ohio State and Virginia Tech. He intends to make official visits to all three schools this fall, and plans to attend the Pitt-Virginia Tech game Sept. 15 at Heinz Field.

Johnson said he will wait until after the season to make his college choice, though he doesn?t want to announce it when he plays in the Under Armour All-American Game Jan. 4 in Orlando, Fla.

?I?m not going to decide there,? he said. ?I want to get it done before then. I don?t want to go on TV and do it.?

Johnson says Pitt is his favorite ?right now,? thanks in part to his relationship with offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph and the lack of depth on the offensive line.

?I?d like to play early, if I could,? Johnson said. ?I?d like to play as soon as possible.?

Just don?t expect him to make a quick decision.

Youngstown St can't be helping Pitt right now.

Actually, YSU may have indeed helped Pitt out. Since Johnson would like to play early, he'd have to love his chances of getting early playing time at a I-A school that just got spanked at home by a I-AA team.

I hope that's not the only reason he choses Pitt (quickest chance to play). Urban is showing right now that the best WILL play if they deserve it.

Look no further than Spence, Schutt, and Washington. With a loaded and DEEP defensive line they all have broken into the rotation because they came in and put the work in. No matter how deep our offensive line is or is not Dorian can surely get into the rotation quickly as long as he is willing to put in the effort.

In the NFL people compete for the roster spot all together. I think OSU's situation would best prepare him for that type of "earn your spot" that the NFL has.

Pitt's recruiting class for 2013 is not all that impressive. It will take more than one good OT (i.e. Johnson) to turn Pitt's program around. I would hope that he doesn't want to play for a team that loses to 1AA schools, is in a "lesser" conference, will likely have a losing record, and will sit home during bowl season.

I hear you, but who wants to play for a terrible team? He could've stayed with Penn St if he wanted to play on a bad team.

Based on the way Pitt's season is shaping up (I know, it's only one game) the staff members that he has great relationships with may not be there next season.
Pitt's had, like, 12 head coaches in the last year and a half. Chryst is not on a hot seat at all.
