'14 JUCO OL Jermaine Eluemunor (UCLA & Arkansas decommit; Texas A&M Verbal)

OK, may have been a bad choice of words. We slowed down our pursuit of the player. Do you think he picked Arky over us all things being equal? I certainly don't.

Yes, I do. Whoever got the last visit with Eluemunor was going to "win".

So you're saying Arky slow played him....

Agree to disagree then. No way BB out recruited UFM on this one. They were the last one to win because they were still actively after him. When your girlfriend breaks up with you because you are flirting with other girls she's not really the one breaking it off.

Yes, agree to disagree. If you think UFM is going to get every kid he goes after, then I don't know what to tell you.

Yep. Some kids prefer the more laid back atmosphere (Hoke) vice a place where you have to be a fierce competitor (Meyer).

Hey man, I won't pick a fight with a senior member like you I am just saying I don't think he was high enough on our board that Urban pushed hard. Of course he won't win every battle but I am saying that you "choose your battle" as the saying goes and I don't think this is one Urban chose to put all his effort in. Call it sour grapes all you wish but to think he put the effort into this one that he has with Samuel for instance or Bell last year is crazy. Especially when you consider the other names on our board - Prince, Mavety, etc. and you look at who won this battle - Big Baby Bielema and Fayetteville then I think you can draw whatever conclusion you wish. We will just agree to have our own opinions :wink2:

His opinion is derived from the Scout insiders who know more than any of us about the situation, which makes it less of an opinion and more of a statement of fact.

And these insiders always have a complete insight on Urban's motivation for each player? Whatever. You are not going to convince me the staff held him as high on their list as Prince or Mavety and therefore were not pushing him as hard. Isn't it somewhat common knowledge that he wanted to commit and was set to....but then he didn't? Like I said let's just let it drop. I know my pecking order and I know MD has been wrong before about his predictions for commits so the "insider" thing is taken with a grain of salt.

He did commit to Ohio State and the staff accepted that commitment, which makes your speculation about slow playing him totally and completely wrong. I believe Wade has said as much right here on BP if you don't trust the Scout insiders or MD.

There is no doubt he told the OSU staff he was in a few weeks ago. Just like he told the UCLA staff prior to that. And just like he probably told the Arkansas staff since then.

Did you see my previous post acknowledging those were a poor choice of words? Look boss, I am simply trying to say the staff will be more than happy with Prince and/or Mavety and were therefore not pushing hard for this commitment. Why can't you both just let it go at that? The pack mentality of senior members on this board is a bit much sometimes. (Here is where you can say I am free to leave anytime)

How many times do I have to say we can agree to disagree and let it go? Sheesh.
