Did you see my previous post acknowledging those were a poor choice of words? Look boss, I am simply trying to say the staff will be more than happy with Prince and/or Mavety and were therefore not pushing hard for this commitment. Why can't you both just let it go at that? The pack mentality of senior members on this board is a bit much sometimes. (Here is where you can say I am free to leave anytime)

Not sure I've ever asked anyone to leave.....you're entitled to your opinion, just as I am mine.

From what I've heard from multiple people with connections to program, he committed to the staff on his visit & was supposed to announce that following Friday. Between those dates, he was convinced by the Arkansas staff to visit. Did the OSU staff shut the door after he decided to visit? They could've.....but prior to wanting to visit Arkansas, there is ZERO doubt (IMO and multiple others) that this staff wanted him & accepted his commitment. As others have said, there are certain kids that have a hard time saying no to people.....to me, Jermaine is one of those kids. He committed to UCLA & it didn't sick. He committed to OSU and it didn't stick. He committed to Arkansas.....we'll see if it sticks by December when he signs.

I know MD has been wrong before about his predictions for commits so the "insider" thing is taken with a grain of salt.

Please point me in the direction to the person that has correctly predicted where each & every recruit has landed.....I'd like to meet them & shake their hand......

I did, and then I saw you say the exact same thing again using different but equally wrong words.

I am just saying I don't think he was high enough on our board that Urban pushed hard.

He was high enough on the board to push for and accept a commitment from when he visited. That is not someone's opinion. That is what happened.

When things started to get clouded around the Arkansas visit, that may have changed.

If you're talking after the Arkansas visit then I may be more inclined to believe that- and I have said something similar myself.

UCLA apparently backed off following his commitment to Ohio State and Ohio State may have done the same... but following his visit to Arkansas, not before.

That is 100% pure speculation. The staff pushing for and accepting a commitment on his visit is not speculation. Once again, that happened.

I am just trying to make it clear what happened in this recruitment. Urban Meyer wanted Eluemunor, pushed for and got a commitment, and then other things may have happened.

We can find common ground by getting back to this.

If OSU were to instead end up with:

If this were true, and I have NO idea if it is true or not, that would mean that the coach down there committed a legally punishable crime, according to experts.

Wow, I am not sure if he used the argument that the spread is dangerous or that he had a better B1G record than the coach from Bama? Or maybe it was the "just deal with it" slant? Or maybe it was that the "Rose Bowl is not all it is cracked up to be". Admittedly, he did have a better track record of development olinemen than the the current MSU oline coach ....
