'14 VA DE Da'Shawn Hand (Alabama Verbal)

Honestly would have rather seen him in the Big Ten but of course the silver lining is always in the fact that seeing scUM be disappointed is always fun :) On the other hand, I hate Bama almost more than any other team behind scUM.

Just read Michigan responses to Hand's commitment to 'Bama. Please, please, please someone tell me that tOSU fans aren't that ignorant, classless, mean, vicious, and just downright ugly toward someone who chooses an institution other than our beloved tOSU? I know I'm a bit of a Pollyana, but geeeeez. All that does is close the door on that person ever re-thinking his decision and changing back....

That was probably one of the easiest flips ever! And most damaging!

With jHoke barely able to beat AAc and Mac teams, all sabana had to do was show him his multiple sec championship and NC rings, and say do you want one. And then point to his multiple high round draft picks. It was like watching Tyson fight a middle school kid

Are any of you Buckeye fans (I'm from Iowa) sensing that some of the better midwest recruits are now going to the SEC? That is, those that aren't committing to Notre Dame or OSU? In the past, the rest of us in the BigTen would have maybe had a shot at players who were not committing to OSU (not specifically talking about Hand here as he is one for the big teams). I feel like I'm seeing a deterioration in Bigten recruiting overall (ex OSU).

VA isn't in the midwest and until recently it was only PSU that dipped into their successfully; most top VA recruits have always been SEC/ACC commits. This is a down year overall recruiting wise so I wouldn't put too much emphasis on this years results but looking at last years you have OSU/UM/Nebraska all in or near the Top 10 so I don't see much of an issue. Indiana, Purdue, Minny, Iowa.....for the most part these schools have never been recruiting powers and won't be but they focus on in-state kids and player development, redshirting as many as possible and building that way.

I don't know if it's necessarily a deterioration. I just think you are seeing Ohio State recruiting on a level that the Big Ten hasn't seen in a long, LONG time.

Now everyone has to play catch-up.
