Making progress, from denial to downright depression.
For those who are not into running, this would be a good time to start. Endorphins are the body's natural anti-depressant. My run today has brought me out of a funk the likes of which I have not felt since maybe 1/2/1980.

I think we'll see Clemson another couple times at least, before they likely slip back into mediocrity. Hopefully the pendulum has started to swing the other direction and we'll break through against those fuckers for multiple victories in the coming years. That's what the run did for me - yesterday is behind me and I see a bright future.

OK, I agree that the SEC refs jobbed tOSU. We all agree (daughter saw twitter, and pro football players said it was a clean hit). Anyway, please, please, please let's NOT become like Cryami! They are still grousing about 2002. tOSU had some bad play calling in the red zone, lost some coverages, made some bone-headed plays (running into a punter for crying out loud), and no Chase was not as big a factor as we would have liked. Give Clemson D credit, they stuffed tOSU three times, when the score shoulda been 28-0. And yes, it was a 'held' catch (the three steps prove it), fumble and return for TD. Go Bucks!

Wait, I thought you whacked the witness.

Here is what we were taught at OSU's Law School.
When you have the law on your side, argue the law.
When you have the facts on your side, argue the facts.
When you have neither the law nor the facts, have the trial judge check with the replay judge in Birmingham.

I have seen several references to "bad play calling" in the RZ. I am not buying that. Day could not have dialed up a better play than the screen pass. He caught Venables with his damn pants down. And JK dropped it. That was not just a good play call, it was freaking MASTERY. And the second pass JK didn't hang on to, or Fields put too much air under. That was another gorgeous play call.

Yeah, there’s a lot of places to go before being critical of the play calling or game plans on either side of the ball. There were a couple of things run to the boundary side that I thought would have been better going field side... but that’s all very minor stuff. It was a well designed game by Day and the staff.

I have no excuses for this one. The first 10 minutes of the game showed we were the better team, but time and time again shot ourselves in the foot. Fuck the "bad calls" by the refs. Clemson won the game because they wanted to win. Ohio State lost because they expected to win.

Thank you to all of you that negatively responded to this idiotic post by me. I simply wasn't in my right mind following 21 beers and a devastating defeat. The Buckeyes got fucked, plain and simple, by what I found out today was an SEC officiating crew. No way in hell did they want their beloved LSU having to face our offense. Lawrence "ducked" into a targeting call and Fuller's overturn was egregious. This hurts. This was the right team, and the right time.

Peace

Woody, always enjoy your heartfelt posts.
I won't ever get over this one. Too much like 1969, 1975, 2006.

Chase Young was almost non existent yesterday. We needed "the best player in the country" to play like it and he did not
Herbie added to his strong legacy by playing a medley of Savage hits by Chase immediately after the release, all while saying he wasn't impacting the game very much.

Trevor either finished or approached halftime completing 50% of his passes for less than 100 yds. He never fixed that completion percentage but 3 enormous dumpoffs to Etienne shot that yardage total up

They more than held their own. They held Clemson to 15 points without the targeting and punter calls. Even with those 29 is quite good, especially since the OSU offense died when JK left.
