Normally I agree that you can't say the refs cost you the game. We certainly did make some mistakes that we controlled, that didn't help.

However, this is a game where you can certainly blame the refs. Example, instead of us having to say, can't make those mistakes, we could be saying that about Clemson in a loss, "Can't be turning the ball over on your own side of the field, leading to a defensive TD. You know why we can't say that? Because we were cheated. Had they called that incomplete in the beginning, sure I'm fine with that decision after replay, but to call it a fumble, reviewing it at worse it's inconclusive, but to then overturn it, after hearing forever "Must be conclusive" that's BS. 4 freaking steps. So to the people who hang their hat on "Well OSU had their chances and didn't capitalize, the difference is that Clemson had mistakes too, but they were bailed out."

Also, name one call that went our way that was questionable? We couldn't get a single thing or way. It felt like the whole game the bias was for Clemson. IF you want to be a shitty ref fine, be shitty both ways. Watching countless terrible spots for Clemson, uncalled holdings, a few false starts not called on them.... you could just feel the bias against us by these refs.

Will probably be the worst tourism opportunity for a city in the history of the Playoffs. A hometown team against a smaller fanbase? Local LSU fans probably won't stay for more than 1-2 nights. LOL and that's b/c they won't be sober enough to drive.

So far I've cancelled SW airlines tickets and a vacation home. Can't imagine there wasn't a massive dump of hotels, etc.

If you still have tickets/hotel/plane arrangements look into their policies (which is why I always fly SW-- esp for something like this).

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think you'll have a very good time. If you booked thru Airbnb/VRBO, some hosts let you rebook for different dates. It's a fun city. Go another time.

If you bought tickets, sell them for a premium. Extra for Clexson fans.

If, ifs, ands, or buts were candy and nuts...

If, at the very end, Olave runs his route...

It worked perfectly earlier in the game, and he's got such sure hands, and the pass was right where it was supposed to be.

Saddens me because we may not see a Buckeye team this talented on the field again for a few years, but they had not been in the playoffs the last two years. Maybe that experience helped Clemson.

Question - all night long I kept seeing Dobbins slip into the middle of the field, a play that killed Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin, but Fields ignored the free yardage in favor of the big shot down the field. Any ideas as to why?

Dobbins was his safety valve. That's more on coaches than anything if they aren't going to say 'hey, just start dumping it off and see if you can get the LBs & SFs to creep up. Can't expect a guy to ignore his first reads. Would've liked some shorter throws though.

This is just hard to swallow. This team was so good and even with some injuries to Fields and Dobbins, they were good enough to beat Clemson. They just didn't. Not sure we'll see an OSU team with this combination of seniority, talent, and balance for some time.

Hard to follow each year, ride the ups and downs, and then see a team so talented and dominant not even make the title game. OSU should compete for one next year, but I'd be shocked if they were better. Guess that doesn't always matter.

Only Clemson and tOSU return QBs which should be an advantage starting the year.

Got back home from Glendale last night and watched the game from the beginning. Still disappointed as hell after such a great start to the game. On the two controversial plays, they didn't show much if any replays on the big screen while the refs were reviewing. However, they did keep showing Blondie getting annihilated up on the big screen while he was on the turf for a few minutes. Just a really bizarre game in so many ways. So many what ifs, and IF only one of those had actually happened or not happened, the Bucks win. Still had a blast tailgating and enjoying one hell of an exciting game with the family, which was also my 9 yr old daughter's first Buckeye game. Hopefully there will be many more to follow with more positive results. O - H

When the first read is open, you don't look at your check down.

I am not overwhelmed or emotional. The only way I can see to stop this is for the B1G to indicate that it intends to boycott the CFP until a clear set of rules are put in place to ensure that the officiating crews come from conferences other than those in the CFP final four teams. The criteria for the final four teams also must rely on something other than a few guys in a smoky room.

The egregious nonsense that has taken place needs to be made explicit now, before the CFP takes place. It needs to be said "out loud" not behind closed doors. This crap must stop now.
