Here is a screen capture of Evan Mahaffey blocking Zach Edey:

I don't remember that one, but do remember Zed's block on Edey. I was shocked, and of course very pleased. I haven't watched a ton of b-ball in my days, but I can't remember a 7'4" guy getting blocked by opponents who were no where 7'. Great job on this Boiler giant today.

Edit: I never thought Clark Kellogg would have any hope to block a Ralph Samson shot in that game when the Bucks played UVA.

Block was classic. Mahaffey sold out and leapt before Edey started his jump. If you notice, Edey wasn't completely extended, had he been Mahaffey wouldn't have had a chance. Edey does it the same every play, so Mahaffey (and Zed) showed their knowledge and great timing. PS, Zed also showed that 'senior savvy' can be better than young, unbridled talent (Okpara). PS, was very impressed with the freshmen on the floor. Guess it was my first good look at Austin Park, and believe the kid has a nice future ahead. The net-net was that it took all three (plus several) tOSU defenders to 'hold' Edey to 22 points. He looked like Kareem with his sky-hook going downwards. Great win for the Buckeyes.
