2005 N.L.O.I. Day Thread.....

Lawrence Wilson, DE, Akron OH

Lawrence just sent his eagerly anticipated LOI into Ohio State. He said he "feels relieved and he has made the right decision."

Wilson said that he made his decision "today, I was going back and forth, back and forth." He said "basically staying home" was the final factor that led him to the Buckeyes.

When I asked him what Coach Tressels reaction was, he replied "I haven't talked to him yet."

James Laurinaitis, LB, Minnesota

Earlier today James faxed his letter of intent to Ohio State and we were able to catch up with him as he was grabbing a couple of double cheeseburgers and a powerade before hockey practice.

He said "It feels awesome to finally be done with this. At first I was overwhelmed, then I just wanted it to be done with." James added that it is an honor "to be part of a family of players like this."

When asked how it felt to be named Mr. Football in Minnesota, he replied "its awesome to be voted on by the coaches and its an amazing and great honor, but now I know I am back to the bottom of the totem pole."

James finished by saying that Coach Tressel and the staff "they were very excited that it was official." And that he "wants to travel and play infront of the home crowd" when the Buckeyes visit Minnesota next fall.
