2007 Army All-American Bowl

I know this is serious wishful thinking, but until the ink dries in Feb. it is not over. I remember the TSUN getting a commitment from Jai Eugene last year at this time, and now he is in Louisiana. Again I know it would take a miracle, but with especially Barksdale and his apparent back and forth alot could happen before Feb. 7th.

actually JB is already enrolled at LSU, so he is off limits. And we didn't finish second in the Martin race either. Time to move on.

My mistake on the earlier comment, I was actually just making a joke, but I forget that sometimes it doesnt come out that way when typing it. As Mili stated earlier, was kinda forgetting that I was in the recruiting forum being that it was a game discussion.

Barksdale hasn't taken his finals yet so he can't be enrolled at LSU...FWIW.

When is Simms going to throw it above his ankles?

These announcers gush about how accurate he is, and then when he throws a couple of easy passes behind and way too low to the receiver, they blame it on the receiver.

Well, i saw 2 hit him right in the numbers that he dropped....

The Only Positive About Losing 3 Top Prospects Who At One Time Favored Your School

None of them are really at positions of desperate need. Only the Barksdale loss, assuming we don't get anymore DT verbals hurts our DL depth. For spacing purposes it would have been great to have Ben Martin and Anthony Davis, but it doesn't appear either would have contributed much next year. We already have at DE Vernon Gholston (Proven), Walter Dublin, Lawrence Wilson (Proven) and Ryan Williams to go with Solomon Thomas. We're a little thin at DT, but have Doug Worthington, Todd Denlinger, Nader Abdullah, Dexter Larrimore, and potentially Devon Still and Cameron Hayward. This does not even take into consideration Robert Rose and Alex Barrow who are more than capable of playing both postions. On the OL we probably don't have the depth we'd like, but we still will have Alex Boone, Steve Rehring, Kirk Barton (if he returns), Jon Skinner, Jim Cordle, Josh Kerr, Bryant Browning, Kyle Mitchum, Ben Person, and Evan Blankenship. Once again I'm sure we'd like more depth at DT and OL, but there is experience and talent at both positions. Hopefully, next year we can hit the home run with a great crop of OL prospects that are favoring OSU and then fill our gaps in the interior DL. These losses hurt, but with the talent we've amassed on the OL and DL I'm confident that it we'll be fine.
