I don't think Noah compares to Camb at all. Camby is a much better defensive player than Noah. He's also more polished offensively, whereas Noah can pretty much just dunk and do lay ups.

He's probably like a taller Renaldo Balkman. I only say this because I don't want to make the obvious Varajeao comparison...

Yannick Noah in the NBA: see Marcus Camby - rebounding and shot-blocking, but no outside shot, and too thin to score much in the post

Corey Brewer in the NBA: see Scottie Pippen - a wing with long arms, great lateral quickness as a defender, the ability to drive and hit the three

Tennis player to NBA player?! :wink2:

Had Joakim Noah decided to declare for last June's NBA draft, at worst he would've been snatched no later than three. Despite his team's crushing success, at the moment he's being projected as a late lottery selection. Conversely, Al Horford's appeal has greatly levitated. Last year he graded late lottery to middle of the first round. Now there's no way he will be on the board past seven.

ESPN

Chad Ford's Blog where he talks about guys he think will be declaring...

He has Gabe Pruitt, Durant, Oden, Thadeus Young, Roy Hibbert, and Jeff Green...

Also in the same link he reports that Julian Wright has declared...Not sure if he hired an agent tho, but this is a suprise to most KU people as he has said all year that he would be back...

Official Goin' Pro thread

Probably easier to keep any talk of non-OSU players going pro in one forum.

Today: Julian Wright, Kevin Durant, and Arron Afflalo all declare.

other news: Wayne Ellington will stay at UNC

I don't think people should be surprised anymore. Recent history has shown that kids will often say one thing and do the other, which is why I wouldn't be surprised if Mike Conley entered the draft.

How exciting would it be if Atlanta landed the number one and the number 11 pick in the draft.

It is very possible for this to happen, from there they could draft Oden and Conley.

Greg seemed to like ATL...

Also just to add to this thread, Jeff Green and Roy Hibbert have thrown their name in the draft but won't hire agents yet...
