Give me LBJ, Dirk, Wade, Melo, AI over T-Mac...

I could buy AI, but that's it. T-Mac is more versatile offensively than Dirk, Lebron(even though I love his game, T-Mac is a better pure offensive player), Wade(unless driving and getting fouls called is good offense) and Melo(T-Mac lite).

I think Lebron and Wade are better overall players than T-Mac, but just from an offensive perspective, only Kobe can do what T-Mac does. Lebron is too inconsistent from behind the arc and his shot selection still needs improvement(though it's vastly improved from last year). Wade is also a mediocre outside shooter, though he has a better midrange game than T-Mac.

I just think T-Mac does everything offensively well, where as most other players have some small hole in their games.

You can definitely make a case for everyone you mentioned though, and I wouldn't blame you for taking Lebron, Wade, or Melo, but I'd personally choose T-Mac just looking at offense.

You make some good points, but all these guys shoot a better percentage than T-Mac from everywhere on the court, except for LBJ and a Wade from behind the arc and LBJ at the line.

I just think that T-Mac can be very streaky, and not agreesive enough, settling for jumpers too often, and not as strong as LBJ, Wade, Melo when finishing around the hoop...

Also I don't think anyone in the game is as versatile as Dirk...Biggest matchup problem in the league, b/c he is tall enough to shoot over you, can take you off the dribble, back you down, hit the 3 at a 41% clip and if you foul him, he shoots 90% from the line...

I still can't believe that all but one of the ESPN "experts" picked Miami to win this series.

Did they at all watch the Heat this year? The rebuilding project that's going to go on in Miami within the next few years(incredibly old team with some pretty expensive contracts and not a single young prospect that will be anything more than a roll player) will be one of the biggest in NBA history.

They will have Wade. But, I agree. I think they are just picking them because they won last year and nothing really changed. Fact of the matter is, they just haven't played all that well all year.

I know T-Mac's streakiness very well. But I think he's shown consistency in his past two years in Houston. I think that part of his game has really improved.

Like I said, you can definitely make an argument for everyone you listed, but I'm partial to T-Mac simply because he does everything well and he seems to perform when it matters(which is odd since he's never been out of the first round).

As for Dirk, he can be targeted out of a game. It's possible to limit his effectiveness by using a variety of defenders on him and quickly double teaming him. His post game is also incredibly overrated IMO. I still like his versatility, but I think guys like T-Mac, Lebron, and even Kobe are more effective on the block. Dirk seems to always be taking fadeaways even when being guarded by small forwards.

I've always just liked T-Mac. His was the first jersey I ever owned.

First let me say don't count a series over until it is over...They go back to Miami and there is a great chance that it could very well be 2-2 going back to Chicago.

I agree with everything you said, other than about Dirk. If anyone takes Dirk out of the game it is him, b/c his team is loaded and other guys can step up and score to help him out...The game agains the Suns earlier was a great display of his offensive game...

I agree. All I am saying is that I highly disagree with them being the most dangerous team in the east.

Honestly, this Lakers team is incredibly weak. Lamar Odom is very talented, but he's too passive. Luke Walton would be an effective sixth man, not a third option. No one else really stands out on that team right now.

The Lakers were going to lose this series regardless of whether Kobe scored 50 a game or averaged 11 assists per game. Kobe isn't good enough to make up that much of a talent differential.

That's true, it's just that he, more than any of the other great offensive players you posted, tends to struggle more when the defense is ratcheted up. When guys like Bruce Bowen and Shawn Marion start playing him incredibly physical, he tends to back down a little bit and become a jump shooter.

As a side note, I would pay any amount of money for the Cavs to shoot threes like the Suns. If we had the shooters the Suns do, there is no doubt in my mind that Lebron wouldn't at least lead the East in assists per game.

Lamar Odom is way too passive, and wants to be a roll player and nothing more. Brown is just terrible, IMO. Luke Walton would be a good bench warmer. Kobe, is disgusting.
