So let's say Pryor is of a sound state of mind and chooses to head to Columbus next year...what then for scUM? I've heard something about one of their rbs or wrs or someone played qb in hs but does anyone have any idea what dick rod does if he gets to spring practice without any qbs on his roster

Um, we did have more QB's this year than Henne and Mallett.

yea but are they any good? I've never heard anything bout them, and one of my friends who is an avid wolverine fan was telling me something about one of your running backs or something?
Well, they're good clipboard stands. But it's not like there will be zero quarterbacks on the roster. Actually, Carlos Brown is the guy you're thinking of who was an HS quarterback. But it won't likely come to that for a couple reasons. One, there are in fact two QBs, David Cone and Nick Sheridan, so when they scrimmage, both teams will have a real quarterback. Two, recruiting is not over and there are still a couple non-Pryor quarterbacks yet to commit. One is Domonick Britt who RR was recruiting at WVU.

Yup Brown was who I was thinking of. Thank you. Never heard of Cone or Sheridan, although i doubt if Britt comitted to you guys you would want him to be starting in the fall...he seems like he has some good upside, but doesn't quite seem like the instant starter type

Neither do Cone or Sheridan. In fact they're more the headphones-and-clipboard types. I think if there's a quarterback recruit (and I feel fairly confident that either Pryor or Britt will come to Michigan) then they'll start as a true freshman, and we will have a bumpy ride next year. (Was gonne be bumpy anyway.) I imagine RR will try and have Cone or Sheridan run the offense in practice and Brown will be a fallback plan if they can't do it and there's no recruit. But again - RR is not done recruiting.

TSUN will undoubtedly sign a top flight dual threat qb (hopefully not TP).

With RRs offense, the chance to play immediately, and TSUNs football tradition etc., if anyone thinks for a minute that TSUN will be in a jam and starting Carlos Brown at QB, you're kidding yourself.

That being said, relying upon a true freshman as starting QB (regardless of how talented they are) is generally not a recipe for a BCS appearance
