Traditionally, the spread option offense doesn't work too well when the QB is a 6'6" gunslinger with the mobility of an oak tree, so i'm not too worried about this season. You should be concerned about DickRod still having his job for the return trip.

You silly Ohio State fans... Don't you get it? Ohio State can't beat the spread. RR runs the spread.

Look at your last 5 loses...
LSU? Spread
Illinois? Spread
Florida? Spread
PSU? Spread
Texas? Spread


I know LSU doesn't play the spread, and Florida with Leak wasn't really the spread either, but they're in the SEC which is pretty much like the spread, only faster.

PSU, of course, wasn't really a spread team either, but they had a mobile QB at the time and so that's pretty close, so they count.

FACT: Any team that runs a spread option attack will beat Ohio State. It doesn't matter if you have John Navarre taking snaps in it, or Patrick White. All you have to do is run it, and Ohio State has no hope of victory.
