The Gators need to get back to that early season form where they played like one of the best teams in the country. As Gatorubet indicated earleir, they won the series from Georgia, a good step in the right direction.

If it's not one thing, it's another. One game Florida's baseball team hits well; the next it pitches well. But rarely of late have the two fundamental parts of the game worked in harmony for the Gators. And UF head coach Kevin O'Sullivan knows why. Florida, which has lost five of its last seven games heading into this weekend's series against Georgia, has committed 27 errors in conference play, a stat that ranks 12th in the SEC.

Doesn't have to be a meteor, a tornado would do the trick. or an earthquake. or just have the town fall into a giant sink hole of raw sewage. or an alien invasion.

well, we take the 1st two of the series (15-6 & 16-4).
Tomorrow is the end of an ERA.
After 70 years of baseball, Alex Box Stadium will host its last (regular season) game.

We still stand a decent shot at hosting a regional. I would LOVE to be able to send the Box out in style.

Louisiana State Update

Late Sunday afternoon, LSU Athletics Director and former five-time national champion baseball coach Skip Bertman guided the official closing ceremonies for Alex Box Stadium. However, if coach Paul Mainieri's second Tigers squad maintains its current pace, there may still be more baseball at The Box this season.

Florida Update

Gators Bounce Back


Florida bounced back from a disappointing three game series loss to host South Carolina last weekend with an 11-10 win Wednesday over Bethune Cookman at McKethan Stadium. This weekend the Gators travel to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama for their last road trip of the regular season.
