2008 Football Rumblings

I get confused with the ongoing changes, but isn't the current rule that you can transfer without sitting out if you have your degree?

That rule is no longer in place.

I know it's covered in the article that Padraig linked, but the headline could confuse those that don't read the entire link (the guy was asking for a waiver right after the rule was rescinded).

Pena is due to graduate in May with one year of eligibility remaining. He had planned to take advantage of an NCAA rule that allowed athletes who have graduated with eligibility remaining to transfer to another school without having to sit out a year. The NCAA changed that rule earlier this month.
Is this guy, insert Dukes or Lyons, would enroll in a college below a Division I level I do not think that they would have to sit out one year he even if they have graduated but it would have to be a school lower than Division I. I might be wrong but...

Correct, no sitting out if you go D I AA or below.

I've been slacking lately so let me come out with some haymakers...

Ray Small is on THIN ice right now

Don't be surprised if Adams/Shugarts starts at the RT spot

Stoneburner is turning some heads and may be moving ahead of Washington, Sanzenbacher, and Torrence

Justin Boren as of now is definately going to be a Buckeye...
That is disappointing news about Small, especially since Tressel said we had no grade problems.

Adams at RT would not be a surprise at all. Shugarts would be.

Stoneburner ahead of the others would be a small surprise. Stoneburner ahead of Posey/Thomas would be a big surprise. Although we have been hearing good things about Torrence lately.

Great news about Boren. Surprised about the offer to his brother, but having him here would be a boon.
