2008 Football Rumblings

Just as more affirmation of some sorts, my friend's dad works with some Pickerington die-hards that are convinced Justin will be back in the area soon. Great news with Stoney and I can't wait for the spring game. That sucks on Adams but I think Shugarts and Browning will do just fine. Shugarts is a match made in heaven for our RT spot for this year imo...he could pave the way for Beanie with his run blocking and he always had superb technique to go with that meanstreak. I always thought he was the most college-ready out of the Block O in terms of run blocking.

Boeckman is distancing himself from the others...but Bauserman is all over Henton right now.

Shugarts might be done for the spring after getting a nasty leg whip...nothing major, but no need to risk anything. If it was the season, he and Adams would be playing.

Oh, that's good news on Adams. I thought he would be a redshirt after the surgery, but it sounds as if he'll be ready to go for August. It's going to be a heated battle at RT in fall camp.

My bad...poor clarification. He could play with the injury right now...not sure on when he will be back.

I haven't heard any type of decision on Adams yet. All the articles I've seen, the coaches have said that "if it was the regular season and if he was a veteran" then they would "risk" it.

With the type of injury he has, I doubt the coaches will want to risk getting him back by August. I'd like to see Adams close to 100% before stepping on to the field. I'd much rather see him redshirt then have this turn in to a continuous/nagging injury for years to come.

Is that more about Bauserman improving or Henton possibly regressing/not improving?

People tend to remind everyone about Henton and claim he's being forgotten in all the hype over Pryor. Well, if Henton is forgotten, then what does that make Bauserman? The Invisible QB? I for one have been pulling for him ever since he decided to commit out of Tallahassee, and am glad to see that he may be making the most of his opportunity in Columbus.

I hear that they are both improving and Bauserman more so, but that Henton is definitely no slouch

I hope his mental game is improving as well. If he maintains the same composure as he had the first 2/3 of last year, we'll be fine.

Too late to backpedal now - we have all bookmarked links to your prediction Henton will start vs YSU.

We don't get you often Mili - but when we get the chance....
