2008 MLB All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium

That was one helluva play by Tejada and one helluva job by Aaron Cook to get out of that inning unscathed. Three straight ground ball outs with the bases loaded. That's clutch, and one of the few truly entertaining sequences this game has provided.

It's easy to be cynical like I have been about the effort and intensity that is brought to this game. I gotta give credit to the NL for playing to win and not conceding the run and going home.

Bud Selig: What an asshole!

After all the pageantry and posturing - the hours of buildup and then the first couple of hours of boring baseball - we FINALLY have an entertaining game. And as the leader of this league looks on he has his head in his hands looking all bored and upset. I realize this kinda puts him in a tough position in some ways, but DAMNIT, at least summon the effort to fake it and pretend that you are enjoying this as much as I am. After all Mr. Selig, this is YOUR product.

BTW: This game has had its share of anti-MVPs for both sides. In my book, Aaron Cook is the MVP of this game right now.
