2010 Arizona State Sun Devils Baseball

Can't wait to watch Leake with the Mudcats and Bats this year.

The Aussie Lefty Josh Spence has something to say about them losing their three best players, though.

You're right, Spence could easily have been picked over Carlos Ramirez, but I don't think he was as good as Kipnis or Leake. I'm very happy Spence decided to come back for his Senior year and hopefully he improves his draft position. Good catch on your part, bad overlook by me.

GO DEVILS....I love Sun Devil baseball...it might be the only thing ASU really has tyo be proud of :)

I also love Sun Devil Baseball and am glad they have had the highest attendance in the Pac-10 for the last 5 years or so. That place was pretty packed last night.

ASU should be a baseball school because we're obviously not very good or consistent at football. However ASU does have some other successful sports programs, just none that many people care about.

ASU (15-0) at Cal State Fullerton (9-7) for 2 game series starting tomorrow and Wednesday.

Breakdown:

Batting avg.
ASU = .371
CSF = .279

Opponents avg.
ASU = .231
CSF = .238

Runs scored
ASU = 159
CSF = 72

Runs against
ASU = 54
CSF = 64

OB%
ASU = .480
CSF = .365

ERA
ASU = 2.95
CSF = 3.78

Opponents ERA
ASU = 10.92
CSF = 4.57

Even though CSF's record isn't impressive, they are a good team and have been for years. They have had the 15th toughest schedule in the country and it won't get any easier the next couple days. This will be ASU's first real road trip of the year and should be an interesting series.

If CSF can get their bats working, they will be very tough.
