Game Thread 2010 Rose Bowl: Ohio State 26 Oregon 17 (Final, 1/01/2010)

The thing I love is how we do something no one thinks we could and then they turn and say..."Well if that team didn't do this or that" or "Well that wasn't that big of a game". Ohio State can put teams in bad positions too. Like Blount's fumble, he was worried about the backers and didn't look the ball in. No 100 yard rusher. No scores in the last quarter and a half for Oregon. First downs when they mattered. Unfortunately, "we Love Our Ducks" has been removed. Not to hate on the Ducks, But I love our BUCKS!!!. We had the most potent O in the Rose Bowl!!!

Fantastic game, excellent game plan, well executed and a lot of fun to watch!

Oh yeah, and *yawn* another big game Tressel won that will be forgotten by the talking heads in the media and sorry ass "fans" that will call for Tressel's head and for TP to be a WR or TE or whatever the next time we lose.

GO BUCKS!

Couldn't of asked for a better performance and I CAN'T wait to see what next year is going to be like.......this team is SCARY good. Anyway, GREAT game and GREAT win fellas....you played a hell of a game. GO BUCKS!!!

Would really love to see the future article written by the ass [censored]s who picked Oregon to blow us out and saw "This one getting out of hand, early." We continually punched those ducks in the mouth.
My 2 cents:
Pryor
Could we really ask any more of this kid at this point in his career? He has led us to some key victories and yes, there have been bumps and I'm sure there will be more. But guys, we have a true competitor running our ship. He's gonna take us to the promise land at least once over the next to years. His passing hasn't arrived yet but it's progressing tremendously.
Defense
Wow, even some of you nancys out there picked Oregon to light up the scoreboard. Our guys were having none of it. SO VERY proud of how our guys were silver missiles out there almost completely shutting down Oregon's big play running attack. Don't bring that so called "swagger" in here and expect it to get you anything more than cum on your face from ESPN's coverage crew. We've now seen 3 of these so called "swaggerish" speed schools held under 20 points by big slow Big Ten schools. Time to wake up. The Big Ten plays defense like nobody's defense and they can run. Ask LSU, Miami, and Oregon. We butt [censored]ed all 3 of those programs this week. Ga Tech, you're next.
Coaching
One of the best all around coaching performances on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Plenty of behind the scene, long hours spent breaking down the duckies. It paid off. Woulda liked to see the KO units do better both receiving and kicking but we'll get better.
As always, I'm extremely happy to be a buckeye tonight. This feeling will be with me all year and continue all the way to the NCG next year in the desert. :osu:
I can't remember the last time I had a more satisfyied feeling as a Buckeye than after this win. YES... Enjoy the win tonight Scampus.

One thing that really stands out for me when putting the defensive effort in perspective is that we held them to 17 points but really didn't win the field position battle. Their return game gave us fits for most of the night. Just an outstanding job by the D in holding the ducks down when our defense never really had a long field behind them all night.

8-0 vs Oregon all time biatches! Classic game today: Saine is a beast plain and simple (thought he could have had more carries :roll2:), Pryor is finally looking more mature on the field and showing why he was the #1 recruit in the nation, the defense brings tears to my eyes and I'm going to be sad when some of these guys go to the NFL. I'm proud of the way this team played today but more because of the way they bounced back after an inexcusable loss at Purdue. Damn this win feels good :)
