2010 TSUN News offseason (football)

I'm starting to wonder if Rich Rod is some kind of evil genious. Maybe his plan is to stink up the joint for 2 years. Open his third camp with the midget circus purposely leaking video of the midget circus looking laughable...only to unveil a real team when the season starts. I'm starting to get nervous....it is impossible for any perrenial top 25 team to be this bad.

Well we aren't a top 25 team.....but you should be afraid. You are catching on my friend. Just wait when you see the Coner on a tight rope 200 feet in the air. The Michigan circus doesn't only have midgets......they have 2 lions that are going to play the safety positions. Denard has the ability to disappear and reappear in the end zone. Tate really isn't a qb. he will be our starting DE and has the strength of 100 men. Why the do you think he skipped workouts this summer? He don't need to work out.

Point Blank......you guys and the rest of the Big Ten are fucked.

I watched the 2006 game on DVR last night (Freakin BTN and their 21-14 halftime score graphic :shake:) and couldn't help but think that michigan is in for a real sore ass this season.

Their defense is probably about half as good as that one was, and Troy and Co. picked them apart. The UM DBs were playing with a 10-15 yd cushion all game and OSU WRs would take a 5 yard sprint, stop turn around and have no defenders within 10 yds of them.

Now, their DL play was pretty good in that game, getting penetration, but Troy would check off, or do one of his uber-fakes and get the D all discombobulated. This years version of UMs D is in for some nightmarish games this year, IMO.

Now, after watching a few of their practice videos, and hearing the rumors swirling about some O to D changes (Grady may be moved to DB), I think this team maybe just as bad as Richy's first year. I seriously can not see them beating UCONN in the opener. Their D is just that bad from what I have seen.

Their O will be on par, maybe a bit better, than last year but the downfall there will be the play calling. Sorry, but Richy has yet to prove that he can call a good game in the B10 since he got there. Just one example is when the Tater fumbled in the endzone in The Game last year where Cam fell on it for a TD. Why in the hell do you call a play that sends your QB back into the endzone with a decimated OL against one of the best DL in the country? Seriously, that was a HUGE mistake on Richy's part.

Anyway, I feel it will be anther very frustrating year for those fans up north.

that play didn't send him into the endzone. He caught the snap at the 4 and immidiately started backpedaling and then freaked out. Not that I wouldn't do the same thing with that Dline running at me, but still. It's not like it was some sort of double reverse flea flicker or something.

His drop took him to the goalline. Not a great idea with a known wildcard in the pocket. Even without the fumble, he probably escapes a safety by about 1/2 a yard.

one man's drop is another man's retreat.
Not really. He caught the snap at the 4, took a casual drop to the 1/2 yard line (which is basically the goalline). While scanning the field, he retreated to the other side of the goalline.

He gets flushed by the DT, which makes him scamper backwards and right to escape the rush. Heyward keeps him inside and then he realizes they're going to end him and tries to offer a peace offering, which Gibson promptly ignores.

It's Tate's responsibility to get rid of it. It's the coach's responsibility when he gives a rampant improviser a chance to panic his way into a safety. There was nowhere to throw that football.
