'11 WA RB Bishop Sankey

Scout $

This article evaluates some high level recruits from the Gonzaga Prep vs. Ferris matchup in Washington state. Sankey plays for Gonzaga and is listing an interest in Ohio State.

Sankeys stats are listed at 5'10/185 in this piece. There's some complimentary remarks re his physical nature and field awareness. The author indicates he doesn't have the top gear to be a homerun threat but says he compares favorably to Jonathan Stewart and Larry Dixon.

'11 MI RB Justice Hayes

This recruit is getting interest from everyone in the Big Ten except for Penn State. He's also hearing from LSU, Stanford, Vanderbilt, & Colorado. He has a former teammate playing for Northwestern and they seem to be recruiting him the hardest at this point. Has plans to visit most Big Ten Schools by the end of the season.

Scout $: Hayes Still Wide Open

One of the top junior prospects in Michigan is Grand Blanc?s Justice Hayes. The speedy running back has interest from many schools, and recently had a chance to take his first unofficial visit of the year. He talked about that and more on the eve of his big game.

Five fast thoughts on Dwyer's 34-6 win over Pahokee | High School Buzz

2. Dwyer's star defensive player next year will be DE Curt Maggitt. He might even take that honor this season. Maggitt (6-4, 210) sacked Pahokee QB De'Joshua Johnson for a 10-yard loss late in the first quarter and again in the third, blocked an extra point and returned a recovered fumble 38 yards for a touchdown. One opposing coach told me earlier this year Maggitt, a junior, is the best high school defensive lineman he has ever seen.

We'll see how serious OSU's interest is...this kid is already being offered by just about everyone (Florida, Iowa, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Miami, etc.).

Dwyer junior Maggitt already being courted by UF, others
> Posted by Steve Dorsey on September 22, 2009 03:50 PM

Dwyer has two outstanding bookends at defensive end in Gerald Christian and Curt Maggitt, who played key roles in the Panthers' impressive 34-6 win against Pahokee last Friday night. Christian, a senior, has made a verbal commitment to Florida, and the Gators already have let Maggitt, a junior, know they are interested in receiving a commitment from him next year.
Maggitt, Christian and a few other teammates, including Matt Elam (UF commit), attended the UF-Tennessee game in Gainesville on Saturday. Maggitt later told Rivals.com that he spoke with Gators defensive line coach Dan McCarney, who used to coach at Iowa State where Maggitt's older brother, Roosevelt, plays.
Maggit is only a junior, but I've been impressed each time I've seen him play dating to the end of last season when he still was a sophomore. In three games this season, he's recorded five sacks, forced two fumbles, returned a fumble for a touchdown and blocked a field goal. He definitely will be one of the state's top-rated prospects next year, and Florida is not the only school which already knows that. He can expect an onslaught of mail and phones calls starting next spring, I'm sure.

DaMarcus Smith, a 2011 Louisville recruiting priority, will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. With an offer from Louisville, the talented quarterback is about to begin the rehabilitation process.

Louisville, Kentucky, Purdue, and Illinois have offered Smith. He's concentrating on starting rehab and in no hurry to decide on a school.

Vernon Hills coach Tony Monken has two of the best junior prospects in the area, and both have good bloodlines. SUMMARY: Anderson is hearing from Ohio State, Rutgers, Ohio, and Kansas for football and Virginia Tech for baseball. He'd like to hear from Maryland (has family in the area, distance will play a factor in his decision). Visited Rutgers last weekend and will visit Ohio State this weekend.
