Yeah, that is wrong as well. But to this point, we are still allowed to compete for the Big 10 title this year as long as the NCAA doesn't ban us from post-season play, correct?

Yes.

OVERVIEW: The Buckeyes ranked fourth in the nation in defense in 2010, but only four starters return. Keep an eye on the secondary, which has the most work to do. Still, there's plenty of talent on the roster for this to develop into another top-flight unit. The Buckeyes play a 4-3 front and make it a priority to stifle the run; they've allowed more than 100 yards per game rushing just once in the past six seasons.

Did Ohio State officials (I'm guessing Gene Smith's office) really take back the "JT" wristbands from the players (as reported by WBNS-FM radio)?

If true, I guess Gene Smith wants to show he has authority? Regardless, Gene Smith will never be considered a leader in my book (like appointing an accountant to be president - always worrying about the bottom line rather than overall picture/leading).

Meh. As much as it sucks, it probably had to be done - especially if they were being handed out by a "football staffer" as I read in one characterization. Given the university's position on what went down, it's probably best for the hearing and sentencing to be completed before condoning something like this.

I'm not saying I agree with the situation, but I'm trying to look at it pragmatically.

I am not sure where to put this so I guess I'll just put it here.

I'm fucking jacked for football right now. I'm so excited to hear the reports out of camp, see the player check in photos, hear the interviews, forecast the game plans, and just get the fucking juices flowing again. Every year, there's a point where I just know it's time. I woke up this morning and walked out to my car and I felt a chill that reminded me of fall. As I drove past the varsity club, I saw they were finishing up repairs. Lane ave is getting new blacktop, and they just painted new lines in the tailgate lots. It's right around the corner and I can't fucking wait!!:oh:

Heading over to the hotel for camp arrival photos. They are officially starting at 3:15, but that is often a loose timeframe.
