2012 British Open at Royal Lytham and St. Annes

It's true what they said at the end, that I have never heard a single person say a single bad things about Ernie Els. Ever. Adam Scott pooched it, and I'm sure that's not how Els wanted to win it, but congrats to him, I always like to see when he plays well.

As for Scott, he had a 4 shot lead with 4 holes left, and Ernie missed a couple of putts...if he pars even 2 of the final holes, he wins. Tha yakker on 16 I think it was, that led to the crappy 3 putt, was his undoing, and he has no one to blame for himself. Not quite a VandeVelde, but close.

Wow, just wow. I decided to tape it and watch the rest and I can't believe what I just watched. I'm a little surprised that Stevie didn't take Adam by the short hairs earlier on and steady him a bit. The guy missed a boat load of putts today that he should have made. Still when he got to 10 under and put his drive in the fairway on the next hole, I thought it was all over.

Congrats to Ernie, who has really done a lot to turn his game back around this year after struggling for the last couple. Could he be the comeback player of the year? He certainly has my vote.
