2012 Elite Eight: #2 tOSU 77, #1 Syracuse 70 (Final!)

Buckeyes open up -2.5

Even 'Cuse's douche coach knows Waiters is their best scorer. He comes off the bench for a reason. That doesnt mean there are 3-4 ppl on the team that are better than him. I love the way the Bucks came out against the zone last night. I know 'Cuse has perfected it, but if Tank is hitting thise 6-8 foot bunnies, I LOVE our chances.

OSU hasnt seen alot of zone so far this year but having cinci play it for the entire first half of last nights game deffinitly helps...even tho Syracuse's zone will be superior...stick sullinger or thomas in the middle of the zone and lets do this shit

The early line has tOSU favored by 2.5 points.

We're making this a straight up bet, so if tOSU advances to the Final Four by winning by 1 or 2 points, anybody betting on the Buckeyes will still will their vBet.

Go Bucks!

Just checking out a few figures.

http://www.warrennolan.com/basketball/2012/rpi

RPI Rank:

Syracuse 1
tOSU 5

SOS

Syracuse 16
tOSU 6

IF (and I know it's a huge IF) tOSU hadn't slacked off in a couple games which they should have won, then the RPI would be a LOT closer than it is. The SOS would remain virtually unchanged. Looking at the tourney thus far, tOSU appears to be playing better ball than Syracuse (who is also playing strong).

I pray to God that, should we get up by 10 or 12 points, the team doesn't start to coast and watch themselves in the mirror. I'm not sure that this team could pull themselves out of the ditch the way they did last night against Syracuse.

Wiscy played an almost perfect game and was unreal from the three point line but still lost. Ohio State can't take a ten minute break from the game and expect to come back and win it in the final ten.

I admit to not being an expert of basketball in terms of X's and O's...is it a must that we hit 3 point shots tomorrow against the zone? Also, I just hope we don't get into any type of foul trouble...'Cuse might be the deepest team in the tournament and they can afford to foul...we can't.

It's beneficial against zone to keep them honest and to keep the zone expanded. Syracuse won't be shot out of the zone (aka go to man-to-man).
