2012 Elite Eight: #2 tOSU 77, #1 Syracuse 70 (Final!)

A common claim that I've since 'Cuse fans make tonight is that "Ohio State shot 17 more free throws than us...the refs were on the take." However, when you look at the end of the game, OSU shot 11 more free throws than SU over the last 1:08 when SU was fouling to stop the clock. A 6 free throw disparity over the first 39 minutes of the game, especially in a game with as many foul calls as this one, really isn't all that much.

And again. It's not always the number of calls, but which calls. Taking Sullinger out for 14 minutes arguably has more of an impact than 3, 4, or 5 other calls going OSU's way.

I still think the worst call of the game was when the Syracuse player rimchecked himself on the front of the rim trying to dunk with no OSU player within 2 ft and they called a foul on OSU.

Well that one sucked yes. But have to believe the second on Sully was worse. He never came close to touching the guy. I hope these refs get a earful for their pitiful performance. But whatever, Final Four baby! :)
