2012 TSUN football news

Spent a little time reading the trash ...er....posts on a few scUM boards. The short version is

1) RRods recruits are the root of any problem (even if hey account for 90% of the offense) because Hoke's genius can't be fully realized until "his" recruits are on board

2) Hoke is ahead of "schedule" to dominate the B1G

3) Hoke's recruits are so superior that they will deliver multiple NCs to the scUM faithful.

4) Gravy's coaching genius is a given

I thought it was freaking hysterical. Denial, Delusion and Douchebaggery.
Michigan went 11-2 last year when they had more RichRod recruits and less Hoke recruits.

Michigan's best players this year were RichRod recruits, and include (arguably) the most dynamic player in college football (Denard) and the best offensive lineman in college football (Lewan). Hoke will find it pretty difficult to replace those guys, no mater who he recruits.

As far as Hoke dominating the Big Ten, he might try winning his own division first.

Too bad the o-line will be on life support in '13. And that's to say nothing of the RB and WR situation.

maybe the emotion of losing that bowl game will cause Lewan to make a terrible decision and come back for his senior year......

If Green commits, RB will be fine

Need Darboh and Chesson to step up at WR.

O line will need a lot of work, I agree

I would not hang my hopes on a possible recruit as a true freshmen at the RB position with 4 OL being replaced. The offensive situation is dire at Michigan on the offensive side of the ball.

I haven't heard this much confidence in an Ohio high school safety to come fix their fucked up secondary since Prescott Burgess.

I'll believe their decade + of shitty safeties ends when I see it.

Meh, I think it's still too early to tell with Hoke. He inherited a team that was severely lacking in both talent and coaching..it was obvious anytime you watched them. I see a team with much better coaching and but still lacking talent all around. The 11-2 season last year was a fluke, I don't really think they fell off this year so much as they just played better teams (Better OSU and ND, Bama..and yes a better bowl opponent). Yes he's had a chance to get 2 recruiting classes in, and that would be great if he just had some holes he needed to plug, the RR era was such a disaster he really is going to have to cycle it out before we really see what his peak is.

That being said I still think Urban will for the most part control the rivalry, but I look for Michigan to be able to win their division 2 out of every 3 years and they'll have to hope that lines up with a down year for the Buckeyes.
