2013 TSUN Football News

Yeah I know, and that's the consensus view of him from most OsU fans. But it was interesting to hear, since he admittedly doesn't give a damn about football recruiting, but provided an expert viewpoint on scUM's class(along with a few others)

My hate toward him has more to do with the fact that the guy will say whatever the hell he needs to say to get his point across, even if he has to lie.

I agree with him on this one though. Morris has not impressed me at all, from his UA AA Game performance (I know, take those game performances with a grain of salt) to his playing time in relief of Gardner last year. He's young, so he has time. I just don't see him performing as a top tier QB in the B1G, and that's what scum desperately needs.

Then again, when was the last time scum HAD a top tier QB? I would say Chad Henne, but I laugh hysterically thinking about it.

Tom Brady?

I would argue that for most of the last four decades QB has been the one position where Michigan has usually had equal or better talent than OSU - and yes, I'm saying Chad Henne was a better QB than Troy - not a better athlete, but a better QB.

Tom Brady was a very mediocre college QB. I'd even say Henne was better.

Um...what? Based on...what, exactly? Better pro QB? Arguably...though he's been incredibly average in the NFL. Below average, even. But Troy was the better college QB in just about any way other than physical measurables. They had similar talent at their disposal at that point, and Troy outperformed him by a large margin.

Kind of hard to read - but, Cinci - your own stats show:

Troy had a better completion percentage (62.7% to 59.7%) a better TD to INT ratio (54-13 to 87-37 (better than 2 to 1 in Troy's favor)) and a higher QB rating (159.72 to 133.9) Henne threw for less than twice the yards in more than double the attempts. Troys WORST QBR(2004) was better than all but Henne's Jr. year... And... Troy could run

????? Just sayin

Plus, Troy outplayed him straight up 3 times and won the most prestigious individual award in CFB by the largest margin ever at the time. By just about any measure, Troy >>>>>> Henne. I don't see how it's even a debate.
