2015 Sugar Bowl Less Civilized Thread (Arguments/Shenanigans)

It's the name of the school.

Which is even worse.

OSUK. Ha. I hope and half way expect Saban to beat OSU so badly that OSU fans concede the win in the first half. "Yea, Alabama is just better, SEC speed, dominance, all that... Yea, we are more than a year away." -OSUK

Me thinks I have been misquoted.

I'll post something non-shennaniganish on the arguments and shennanigans thread: The "analysis" threads pretty much deal with the ideas Alabama can't be run on, Ohio State can't contain Cooper, you can't get outside the edge on them, and stuff like that. I saw Auburn run all over Alabama. They lost the Iron Bowl because they couldn't defend worth a shit. I'm not sure one WR can't be contained - good as he is. Maybe, maybe not.

But my point is that these coaches are not going to concede the other team's perceived strengths. I fully expect, somewhere in the second qtr, both fan bases to be saying, "I didn't think they would be able to do that to us." The best way to win a football game early is to attack the other team's strength. It messes with the stuff between the ears.

Ohio State is playing with house money. Last one in, 3rd string QB, probhibitive underdog, and all that. All they have to do is hang for a while, and the pressure mounts on the other side. If Alabama wins the game small, those with SEC fecal matter all over their heads will give Ohio State credit for playing well against a Bama that didn't. If the Tide wins big, they will break into a chorus of "told you so's". But if Ohio State wins, oh boy. Priceless.

Ohio State is in perfect position. This might be the occasion when the SEC bias - especially the idea that Alabama is so supremely more talented than Ohio State bites them in the ass. Lane Kiffen said yesterday that OSU is the most talented team Bama has played this year. I think that's true, but I know the fans don't believe that, and I'm hoping the players don't either. Why would they? It goes against the narrative they have grown up hearing. Then the first snap will come and the realization that that LB over there is 6-4, 250 and that guy over there is blazing fast. Miami found out on the first series a dozen years ago.

......

Hahahaha. Which Ironbowl were you watching? The one with the 6-6, 257lb, 4.69-40 slow linebacker, Adrian Hubbard? I'm so glad he's gone and Bama has gone with faster linebackers. I couldn't find a 40 time for Joshua Perry, do you think OSU will start him vs. Bama? He's definitely a nice run stopper inside.

OSU is very talented. I don't know that Alabama has faced a complete team all season. There are very few if any in the NCAA. All have had weaknesses that Bama was able to exploit. They are salivating at the thought of Jones, but he might play well. I do think tOSU is the most talented and experienced team that they have faced.

OK, so your one of the less delusional Bama fans -- either that, or your actually a normal person who can talk openly and honestly about football. Bama might have a few more titles - most recently - but I love that the fans wont acknowledge the fact that before 09 -- bama sucked dick since '92 -- including two -- back to back -- 6 lose season while we were playing in back to back title games (yeah, we lost, but atleast we were there) TOSU has lost 6 games ONE TIME IN ITS ENTIRE HISTORY .. and that shit JUST happened.
