Gonzaga's dream of a perfect season died 79-71 on their home floor Saturday night. They blew a 16 point lead to BYU, a team they defeated by 10 on the road earlier this month, to fall to 29-1.

I hope Chris Collins realizes that Northwestern might be a good sitting point.

If he were to go to an N.C. State or otherwise, he could get canned within three years.

Making the tournament at Northwestern will probably buy him a lot of years of leverage. Hell they kept Carmody for 13 years, and he never really got close to making the dance, save maybe once or twice.

If I'm Collins, I'm thinking I could do at Northwestern what Coach K did at Duke. There are a number of parallels, but not everyone is Coach K (giving the devil his due).

NC State is a dead end job as long as Duke and UNC remain powers.

9th seeded Youngstown State got by 8th seed Cleveland State, then knocked off top seed Oakland in the Horizon quarterfinals.

Not bad for a team with 20 losses.

Lots of upsets so far in these small conference tourneys

Monmouth and Belmont are definitely 2 of the better small conference teams. Both eliminated before their conferences title games.

Horizon League is a hot mess the final 4 is the 9 seed, 4 seed, 6 seed and 10 seed.

The 9 and 10 seeds both played Saturday, giving them an extra day of rest for the semifinals. They were giving the top 2 seeds an advantage but it went the other way. I want to see 9 vs 10 in the title game.

Valpo at least has a excuse for losing, they lost Alec Peters their best player for the season before the tournament. Not sure the same can be said for Oakland

Let's go total chaos!

11-23 UW-Milwaukee hanging tough only down 3 at the half of the Horizon title game, pretty laugh worthy that a team that went 11-23 and 4-14 in conference play is this close to being in the big dance.

UWM would become the record holder for team with the most losses to make it if they pull it out.

However, only two teams have made the Big Dance with 20 or more losses — Coppin State in 2008 and Liberty in 2013. Each entered the NCAA Tournament having been defeated exactly 20 times.
