2017-2018 College Basketball Discussion (Official Thread)

Oklahoma is getting blasted by Baylor. Man they've really fallen off.
Teams like Oklahoma make me wish the Committee still emphasized the last 10 games. A team playing like trash which is obviously not playing like they had been earlier in the season like OU should miss the tourney, IMO. They have too many quality wins from the season as a whole to miss it with looking at each game equally, but they are certainly not playing like a tourney team heading into March.

Not sure I like potentially moving to quarters. The other 3 are ok. Would have liked to see a change to make 6 fouls the limit in college
It has worked in the women's game pretty well and I am all for going to 10 minute quarters. Moving back the 3 point line is good along with a reset of 20 seconds on a offensive rebound is also a good idea. The 3 point line needs to coincide with what every other country is using.. Do not like the widening of the lane because big guys do not dominate the college game like they do in the pros.

I was watching the Louisville Virginia game and my power went out because of this snow storm there was 5 seconds left and Louisville was up 3 and had 1 FT left when it went out. When it came back on Virginia had the ball down 2 with 0.9 seconds left and I was like WTF happened so I just watched the replay of this game.

Louisville just lost in a way I have never seen before............up 4 with 5 seconds left after making the 2nd FT.

Louisville up 4 with 5 seconds left and the guy fouls Virginia shooting a 3 point attempt with 0.9 seconds left. If he does not foul him clock runs out.

Virginia makes first 2 FT's missed the 3rd on purpose but of course a guy goes over from the 3 point line into the lane too early like everyone always does so that should do it right ?

Actually no....and actually if there is no lane violation game is over because Louisville got the rebound.

Instead the ref points to the ground hands the ball to the Louisville player saying you can't run the baseline.......so he then runs the baseline so Virginia ball..............

0.9 left we have the classic pass and bank in 3 for the winner.
