2017 College Football Playoffs (and Other Bowl Games)

Can we all set aside Iowa? Of course we are in if we don’t lose that game. Or at least if we lost a respectable game. But the problems with this team are still there as shown last night. I’m convenced if we take care of business last night we would be in. But we didn’t. Wiscy had the ball to win it at the end even though their offense hadn’t really done much. In fact, the stat lines for Penn State and Wiscy SHOULD have coincided with more convincing victories but neither game was. Think of that. Both of our best wins were VERY VERY ugly. And we only won each because of defense.

But it's highly unlikely they [Mark May] on Ohio State like that, plus Auburn is a perfect fit geography-wise for the Peach Bowl to offset the UCF fanbase.
They talked about why in an article I read... lots of trips to the Fiesta etc. I don’t know, it’s up to the bowls so I figure we’ll get a good pick if they want to make money

Yeah, so glad we got rid of the BCS for this [Mark May]. Somewhere John Saunders is touting the BCS in the sky and saying I told you so

I am still glad we got rid of the BCS. That Bama-LSU debacle did it for me.

You could make it 32 teams and #33 would complain. Look at March Madness every year.

If you take out Iowa then Alabama has looked VERY similar to OSU. OSU has utterly dominated inferior competition just as much as Bama has this year. The only ranked opponent Alabama beat by 2TDs this year is LSU at home. OSU obliterated Sparty at home. They struggled mightily against a 4-loss MSU team on the road. Got dominated by a 3-loss Auburn on the road.

The Iowa loss is the lone albatross around OSUs neck and it looked more and more like that loss was a complete aberration.
