I know this is going to sound weird, but if someone asks for the 1st round pick to take Barkley, if I'm the Browns I'm listening.
Barkley is a workout freak, but this team needs more than a RB - if he's there at 4 I'd think about taking him but I'd bet someone will see this combine performance and make the call to the Browns at 1....
I can't be the only one who doesn't want any 1st round QBs, am I?
Depends on the QB. Rosen appears to be the only one I'd invest a 1st rounder in... I could warm up to Darnold but it would be a big maybe.
That said, I can't imagine a single NFL GM moving up to #1 for a RB. Most especially in the modern NFL.
GMs can be the smartest or dumbest people on the planet. And if they are in a desperate spot, you never know given the combine numbers.
I know it's been discussed ad nauseum already, but I have a problem with picking someone who doesn't want to be there. The Browns have enough issues, adding a malcontent rookie doesn't seem like a great way to fix it.
Oh and I'd cut Peppers yesterday if I could.
Kamala, hunt, Johnson. So many good/great backs. But in my view, he's no better a prospect than Zeke, Fournette, Gurley, and several other RBs the past few years that aren't immediately coming to mind.
Envision Sashi Brown standing atop the high tower, his cape flapping in the breeze, looking down on the rest of the NFL. Like the Dark Knight himself."
Fortunately for the clowns fans, he was fired, so somebody else will be making the picks. Will he be any better? Probably not.So the genius that drafted Peppers over Hooker has more "draft commodity" and has taken to wearing a cape.
