Where does Temple pull their talent from? Are they just getting most of the 2 and 3 star players that PSU doesn't want?
I never really thought of Philly as a bevy of HS talent? With the exception of DeAndre Swift of course...

**Follow up question: The over/under on Wisconsin vs. Iowa is 42.5
Am I over thinking this or should I HAMMER that under? Iowa can't score and Wisconsin appears to suck.

I'm terrified of "Pissed off Wisconsin comes out and plays like madmen" and "That one night game at Kinnick where Iowa looks like the 1999 St. Louis Rams"

Temple gets most of PSU's leftovers and they recruit what is there in Maryland and New Jersey as well. Given what they are recruiting, they should probably be better historically than they have been - something near what Syracuse used to be perhaps.

Not Philly so much as Jersey.

When torn on a bet like that, generally speaking, it's the "hammer" part that is throwing you, not the logic and odds of the game.

For me personally betting the B1G West is as big a no-no as betting the ACC. You just don't know what the fuck is going to happen when two mediocre-to-bad teams hook up. Old saying I try to live by when betting sports "never lose money betting on two bad teams".

Yeah I'd go under... has 17-13 written all over it

The game that really has me wondering this week is Clemson at GT

I very nearly took GT in the upset thread. Went with Nebraska instead.

Clemson has shown that, at least on one Saturday this year, they were susceptible to the pass. Seems to me though that their defensive line might be too disruptive for GT's option attack to get anything going. Nevertheless, that once-a-year match up always jumps up and bites someone.

Eh, I'd love to see it but GA Tech just isnt very good Though it is Clemson so who knows. Most everyone left on their schedule besides perhaps the ACC title game is ass.

Keeping an eye on the Illinois/Penn State game.

Illini are patently awful, but they worked in a new QB last week- again, not great, but I have a weird feeling about him giving them fits. Add in a Friday night away game before Penn State plays their Super Bowl vs. the Buckeyes.

(I’m going to be so wrong)
Not that it probably makes any difference, but I believe the Illini will have some suspended players back for this game also.

Only news I expect is that Penn State gets an extra day of rest for Ohio State and watches a very vanilla game from the Buckeyes this week.

It's not even really a full day with a Friday night road game and travel vs a 3:30 Saturday home game.

Regardless, I hope Illinois plays as physical as they are capable of playing. Hoping for a W is too much although I did put down a whammy bet.

One of these has to pay off at some point.
