hope ttun loses by under 4 points, which is the difference between the roughing-the-quarterback penalty on 3rd down that immediately led to a bama touchdown and what would have been a field goal. i'm all out of fucks to give since dfbia hasn't taken osu's side on the wade call/ejection. pretty much the same call in both games, except the ttun player wasn't ejected.

I thought he did violently drive him into the turf, so even though it wasn't a late hit or a targeting I thought it was a legitimate penalty. As they said, that's a point of emphasis this year.

The narrative is not driven by what happens on the field. It's driven by espn's business interests. Now, if we fail spectacularly, they'll trumpet it to the ends of the earth in the service of those business interests, but if we kick ass, there'll be nothing except crickets chirping like there was two years ago.

I understand wanting to have reality on your side. I'm just not sure how much it matters. The B10 went 7-1 year or 2 ago. Nothing changed. If anything, the SEC and Clemson narrative have strengthened.

Exactly, it's does not matter AT ALL. The B1G would need to go undefeated against the SEC, every game , for multiple years, which just isn't realistic. There will always be some angle that they can spout that will shape the narrative to advantage the SEC and ACC.

It's like what (the character) George Hurst said in the show, Deadwood, "I don't like what you print, so I'm going to start my own paper to spread my lies the other direction" or something similar. That's pretty much all 'we' can do, and we have that in Fox. We'll see how it works out.

Wrong, well you had it all right but the last part. If the B1G kicks their asses then it will be a full court onslaught of how the SEC just can't get up for games other than championships even though they were clearly the dominant team.

Then keep beating ass until the narrative becomes a comedy. That's about the only way.
