2023-2024 Ohio State Men's Basketball (apathy, depression, hope?)

Buckeyes are playing for their tournament life. NCAA, not B10s. There's more on the table than for Rutgers. I'm one that still believes that a strong showing might sway the bracket specialists to include the Buckeyes. They've had a chance to heal and rest, but also lose their edge. (we saw that with the women's team), but am hoping that Diebs will keep the fire stoked. We'll see in a couple of hours.

3 losses stand out. Losing at a terrible Michigan team very bad.
Losing two 18 point 2nd half leads (at Penn State and vs Indiana) bad.

If they had picked up 2 of those 3 as wins they would be in the tournament right now.

In the end I don't see Ohio State making it to the dance and you can point to those 3 games as why.

It shouldn't be that simple. You know the committee considers a team after a player is injured and done for the season differently (in a negative way). It's usually only a slight adjustment. Why wouldn't they consider a team's improvement after firing a coach mid-season? It only takes a slight bump to get OSU in if they just look at the coaching factor. This team has absolutely played like a tourney team after Diebler took over, no doubt about it.

If they win today and 2 in the tourney they'll get in at 21-12 and 11-11. That awful conference record is what is hurting
