Perhaps he should have also read I Peter 4:15-16 - There is nothing noble about what UM is going through right now. They brought it upon themselves because they are liars and cheaters.
Another passage occurred to me as the cryer and Corum both brought God into their post game interview. Stroud doing it is out of principle. These guys bringing God into their victim role play when people are holding them accountable is a level of hubris that rises to outright mockery of God.

Galations 6:7
Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.


God rarely takes a hand to prevent injustice. But bringing God into your false victimhood is a good way to test how far God will let you go before taking a hand.
