Yeah no kidding… totally expecting they were gambling or something

I don't think the B1G takes the very unprecedent measure of warning the rest of the conference about what was going on before everything broke if it was "just a guy in the crowd!"

I know DFBIA loves to pretend like the B1G is out to get them, but they are one of the top money makers for the B1G, the B1G isnt going to go out and "smear" them for no reason, somethings gotta be really bad.

I guess the Ann Arbor PD came out and said that the Weiss stuff has nothing to do with the cheating scandal. So 2 separate black eyes. They really better hope the Weiss stuff is not some Ped State kiddie love crap.
The ONLY thing that might save them if it turns out to be CP related or something similar is that they shit canned him as soon as they found out he was accessing accounts he shouldn't have been, and then brought in law enforcement.

The only thing we need now is for it to come out that coaches and players, knowing that the Vegas line was compromised, were betting on their games.

I think this snow balled and once it got rolling everyone that investigates wanted a swing to be the ones who broke it wide open.

This is unraveling a ball of yarn one strand at a time and frankly is how investigations go.

But it wouldn’t surprise me if someone/something is doing this on purpose to cause maximum pain. But fuck them they did this to themselves and put themselves in this situation.
When investigating a conspiracy you get 10x what you need on all the little guys, so much so that they feel overwhelmed and hopelessly fucked; then you wait for them to 'eat the cheese' and start squealing.

Could be a reason why Day refused to take a single scUM question on Tuesday. There's a legitimate football reason to not do so, just making the observation
I don't blame him. He's had his moment in the media spotlight this year with the Lou Holtz kerfuffle. I'd just say, "You know, I'm a football coach. I'll let others address those topics. Does anyone have any football related questions here for me today?"

Michigan is scandal ridden and buried in drama because they are honorable and dont hide things

Why is Michigan the most dramatic team in sports?

Every year, we have something. A small sampling:
  • The RichRod saga (books written about this)
  • Martin on his yacht/Les Miles failure
  • Hoke saga and David Brandon being insane
  • Harbaugh and the NFL flirtations
  • Hockey disaster with Mel
  • Juwan and his outbursts with opposing coaches
I am not aware of any program even within two standard deviations of this degree of sturm und drang.
Why on earth does Michigan have the market cornered on this?
Is it that we over analyze everything because we, by and large, tend to have a high achieving/engaged/intelligent alumni base relative to some of our athletic peers?
Is it that we have a target on our back?
Is it the months of winter causing hysteria?
Genuinely curious.

Because UM doesn't just bury everything like other universities. If you don't think there are scandals everywhere, specifically around attempting to control entire teams of 100's of student athletes, you are sorely mistaken.
