2023 Women’s NCAA Tournament

Well, that last shot sucked. Don't have a good feeling here, but we'll see what the Bucks can do about it.

10 points in a quarter won't win many games.

Bucks shot 65% in the first half, just 3 made baskets (21%) in the second half so far. Dead legs.

Press isn't working, shots aren't falling. Going to need something dramatic at this point.

Find someone to replace Taylor, even though that’ll be tough, and this team can be right back where they were tonight. Maybe one step farther. Please, please stay healthy next season. Too many injuries have plagued this team. Could’ve really used the other guard who missed most of the season.

Need more depth. If you're a pressing team you need a deeper bench. Bucks threw everything at UConn and won, but 48 hours later they weren't the same team. Have to be able to confidently go 10-deep, not 7-deep, to play that style. It's easy to say but harder to do.

Believe that tOSU gave their all against UConn. Well, had to if they wanted to advance. And they did. Yeah, it takes alot of energy to apply the press all game. Taylor M had some injury issues, but no quit to that player. Taylor T had that face injury, so limited her from banging down low. Jacy - don't believe she's still at 100%, but no quit in her either. Our bigs put it out there, but the other girl was just too polished. Hopefully Maddie Greene recovers fully, and Jacy sticks around. Lose both bigs (I believe), so need an aircraft carrier that can jump. Taylor T was serviceable, but doesn't have the mass. She's really good at finding the crease and rebounding/put backs. Don't know that McGuff can recruit/keep bigs, as he's always been in love with guard play/shooters. Dorka and Aailea (sp) both starting forwards, fled to UConn and TA&M respectively because they weren't being developed. All the teams in the final four have very good post players. Maybe there's a connection???
