*2024 tCun Shenanigans, Arguments, Cobras, Feckless Marmots, Fake Pandas, Dirty Cheaters

It really is the most "quiet" national title I can ever remember. Everyone pretty much stopped talking about it after a couple of days. The conversation quickly flipped to Harbaugh's NFL flirtation once again and now they have Ohio State stealing attention away from them with all the moves we are making

It's so true that they are spending more time worrying about what we are doing than celebrating their long coveted full national title.

3 years of success, a national title and they are going to have absolutely nothing to show for it when it comes to recruiting momentum and with program momentum in general either once Harbaugh splits.
LSU after Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Dave Aranda and Joe Brady left was a lot like this. They went from heroes to zeroes in a instant.

If Minter bolts with Hairball, their roster is getting poached.

Almost all of the good defensive players for sure. Will Johnson might stick around just because of the legacy stuff, but nobody else has any real affiliation to the university outside of going there to play for Harbaugh and now their DC the past 2 years is bolting as well.

On offense I could see a lot of guys sticking around just because what's left there is mostly a bunch of low low 4* and 3* type guys who have proven nothing/if theyve even seen the field at all, they probably aren't gonna find greener pastures for the most part.

Jadyn Davis probably transfers right away though, I think Harbaugh is really the only reason he went there. That completely cripples their QB outlook for the next couple of years, unless whoever the new coach can come in and make a impact right away.

The only thing that may sway is NIL, and the kids already got their natty, and just need to pad their stats.

Depends on who the HC ends up being, even with NIL.

Sherrone Moore is purely a roster retention move I think. Maybe he keeps them from nose diving right away and they are stable (like 8-4ish "stable") for a couple of more years, but I'm not sure how good he's gonna work out as a full time head coach long term. But he's there and the players like him, so maybe letting that play out and see how it goes is better than chasing some random. Who are they really gonna get though with the pending NCAA investigations still looming? No one of decent merit is gonna get there with the possibility of the NCAA hammer.

I am not sure about Davis. Moore probably had a lot to do with him being there, and there will be no harm his first year, since he isn't going to start anyway.

The O will look basically be the same.

They may lose some of their early enrollees. OSU should try to get the big OT that comes from Kansas or Missouri.

The O is a mess going into 2024, it looking the same isnt a good thing for scUM. lol

No QB - If Alex Orji is your current likely starter going into the year, you are in trouble.

Completely rebuilding a oline with no transfer reinforcements like they had the last 2 years (well they got the guy from NW but he wasnt even a top 200 overall transfer according to 247)

Nobody for the new QB to throw to besides Loveland. Roman Wilson and Cornelious Johnson weren't elite by any means but you at least had to pay attention to them, with nobody seemingly worth a dang left teams can just key on taking Loveland away too.

Whoever the coach is, they are going to have a hell of a project with that offense.

And add into some of their biggest stars likely being taken away in the portal. Especially if sanction rumors start heating up in the coming months.

Often times part of the sanctions are that players can freely move. Not sure if that needs to be added anymore in the players can freely move era.
Yeah - from what I remember, it might be set in the rules that way. If the punishment is XYZ or worse, players can automatically transfer out for free. Not many people know, but when Ohio State got the poo-hammer in 2011-2012, our players could have transferred out for free. I don't think any did, though.
In the Penn State punishment, it was spelled out in the punishment that players could transfer out for free.
But I'm guessing you're right - it opens the window for X days if sanctions hit.

I'm pessimistic that sanctions will actually hit. The NCAA president already said that it's clear M*ch*gan won fairly.

Maybe Michigan will have their version of a meathead LB (may he rest in peace) threaten players so they don't leave. Lord knows they're not above threatening rape victims.
