Their QBs looked mediocre-bad in their spring game. Offense in general as well. Orji they still were hesitant to let throw much and when they did he made some bad ones, including a comical over throw of a wide open WR on 3rd down. Warren the former walk on looked a bit better being captain check down but there’s not a QB on that roster who’s going to fire away and win them games where the running game isn’t working so great

Saw that as well. Orji is not the guy that’s going to take a W away from Ewers. Even their 2-minute drill was run-heavy, which gives me the feeling they aren’t confident in Orji in that situation.

Also their DBs are gonna get cooked if they keep that loose zone coverage up. Very Don Brown 2.0 as JBook pointed out.

Orji is fast but he’s not good at the “read” part of those read runs at all which takes him down a big notch in the running department. It feels like they are going to get a snap split split of Orji and someone else who’s a “better” thrower at QB to start the season. They’ve got a giant hard on for Orji for some reason so he is going to get time. Even then their passing QBs are mostly going to be relegated to check downs none of them are guys who are going to be making anywhere near consistent big time down field throws.

They don’t have the horses at DB there’s zero depth this year so I imagine there’s going to be a heavy dose of that loose zone all season.

Orji gives me DUI Robinson vibes - run first, inaccurate (high TD:INT), and somewhere in the low 2,000 pass yds.

He's not going to take a W away from Fresno State.

I expected that, what with them handing out those cheesy rings, this might be the one spring game that topped the Buckeyes in attendance.

I looked it up… did not see any numbers… but…. Saw some pictures on line…

Was their spring game attendance as bad as it looked? Even with the ring ceremony?

Buckeyes had the largest attendance I believe, 80k+. I was kinda hoping somebody would burn the outhouse down.
