It's unlikely, but a first round knockout of the Heat by a team with Evan Turner (even though his playing time is down), would be cheered by many.

The refs have singlehandidly brought the heat back in this game. Seriously, fuck this fake ass league.

"I could," Collins said, when asked to explain the more-than-2-to-1 difference. "My grandkids would lose their college fund. So I'll have to dance around that one. I can't respond to that."
What was clear, however, was that Philadelphia's fouls in the second quarter helped change the game.
"It's kind of discouraging," Holiday said, "But at the same time, we know we just have to keep at it. ... Calls are made and we have to fight through that."

what makes me REALLY laugh is that people care about the NBA. This sport is own/run by ESPN. Hockey in every way should BLOW this sport out of the water. WATCH HOCKEY. Not my team, but ANY team. It is better. LeBron, Fuck You

It was the most blatant bull[Mark May] I've seen in a basketball "game". If anybody doubts that the nba manipulates it's outcomes, they should be forced to watch that 2nd quarter and then explain why they feel that way. Horrible. Stern might want to tell them to tone it down a tad.

Here's some more NBA stupidity. Dwight Howard shot 22 of the Magic's 30 FT's and the Hawks shot 29 FT's total. I tried to watch the first quarter and never made it to the end. It seemed like Howard was getting a call every time he ran down the court He threw a elbow at one of the Hawks and it wasn't called as well. The NBA acts like it hates how much the players whine when they don't get calls, but they are feeding that monster themselves. I'll second that I'd much rather watch playoff hockey over the NBA.

I'm just hoping the league caves in on itself and this upcoming lockout goes on forever. I've always felt there was a certain bias on that league, hell, I think the cavs were on the right side of that on occasion, but they're not even trying to hide it anymore. 71-32? WTF?

To be fair, Howard gets raped night in and night out, so they are pretty sensitive about that. Teams WANT to fould him, if you don't he'll score 50 no problem. Too athletic around the rim, unstoppable once he goes up.

Also, ATL's entire strategy is predicated around roughing him up. They have something like 4 or 5 centers to send at him, and have commented that they all get six fouls, so use them.

The Philly/Mia discrepancy is the real stupidity. Philly took more shots at the rim, and got fewer FT's. Bullshit. This fucking Miami horseshit will be what does the league in.

watch the end of the Knicks/Celts game 1.......there was home cooking if I've ever seen it. Melo called for an offensive foul while Pierce has him hooked..... NY scores on that possession and the game was over.

game 2 saw the Sixers go to the line 20 times......FWIW

The game 2 line:

21 fouls called on Philly, 17 on Miami. Much more even.

However, as usual, Lebron gets 10 FTA, Wade gets 7.

For Philly? Iguodala gets 2, Brand gets 2.

The biggest problem I have with NBA officiating is that it is so damned biased. Sure, you can say Lebron/Wade are slashers and so on, but Iguodala is as well. Lebron/Wade/Kobe/Rose etc all get babied like no ones business. Its completely obvious too, the ref is just waiting to send one of those guys to the line.
