A new way to crown the National Champion

Man this is a pretty cool thread.

Who's the current National Champion now? Mississippi State, right? You have Florida > Auburn > LSU > Kentucky > Miss State?

Nope, still LSU. They took it when they beat Auburn, which was AFTER the loss to Kentucky.

Too bad Michigan wasn't holding this thing going into the season:

9/1/2007 Appalachian St.
9/22/2007 Wofford

To continue on this tangent, right now we'd be looking at:

10/20/2007 Elon
11/3/2007 Furman
9/6/2008 Virginia Tech
10/18/2008 Boston College
10/25/2008 North Carolina

Actually didn't stay in I-AA that long.

Updates:

10/11/2008 Oklahoma State
10/25/2008 Texas

11/1/08 Texas Tech
11/22/08 Oklahoma
1/8/09 Florida

So this year the BCS Championship also determined the National Champion in this format... crazyyyy...

The title could be in some weird hands next season too if Charleston Southern plays App St to Florida in the 09 opener...
The Buccaneers remaining schedule includes Wofford, Mars Hill, North Greenville, Savannah State, Gardner-Webb, Liberty, VMI, Presbyterian, Stony Brook, and Coastal Carolina.

:osu:So this is basically a King of the Hill style championship if the time holding the title is accounted for. Amazing work - a bit too much free time, but keep it updated. Only saw Oregon on there 2 times, last time was 1954. COOL BEANS:box:
