Might not want to sit next to folks who want to smoke electonic cigarettes:

(CNN) -- An airline passenger is accused of assaulting and intimidating flight attendants after he allegedly become furious when he was asked to put away his electronic cigarette.

The incident happened Monday on a Southwest Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City, according to a complaint filed this week in U.S. District Court in Utah.

...

When a flight attendant told Sefilian that the electronic cigarette was not allowed on board, he argued with her but put the device away, according to the complaint.

But not for long.

Sefilian took the e-cigarette out after takeoff and began to smoke it again, prompting the flight attendant to again ask him to put it away, court papers say.

"This enraged Sefilian and he began to loudly argue with the flight attendant," according to the complaint.

"Later in the flight, he began to throw peanuts and pretzels at the flight attendant and towards the flight deck door." <--

As the plane approached Salt Lake City, Sefilian stood and began opening the overhead compartments, court papers say.

Flight attendants asked him several times to close the bins and sit down, but he refused and "postured his chest out" at the crew, according to the complaint.

FBI agents met the flight when it landed and arrested Sefilian. He is accused of interference with a flight crew.

I really don't know why the flight attendent would make someone put away an electronic cigarette...

Switched jobs. Back to traveling via company car, although at much shorter distances. With the Continental / United merger and my experiences this year I doubt I will miss the flying. Especially to Grand Prairie AB!

I know when I do have to fly I will miss my Elite status. Southworst, here I come. Can't believe I let two free tickets expire on this airline. What to do with many CO miles???

Expert Travel Lanes - Let's get one thing straight right now...you are not a fucking expert traveler if you don't know enough to have your boarding pass and ID out when you get to the TSA agent checking them....

On top of that I am wondering what the point of these are if the TSA agent is checking people from both the expert and non expert lanes at the same time....

I'm debating on getting the early check in and other goodies for my Southwest flight to Orlando in a few weeks (out of CMH). Then I remember that because I'm flying to Orlando, being in A doesn't really mean jack [Mark May] because of the family boarding. I was in the middle of A-group when I flew out of Indy and the plane was already half full by the time I got on! Ehh...as long as I'm not stuck beside a)some schmuck who wants to tell me a woe-is-me life story, b)the stereotypical slob who takes up two seats, or c)a fussy kid, I'm fine.
It's better than being stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again.

There are good fliers.

in 2008 I had to travel to San Francisco maybe 15 times. Each for four days or so. The person I traveled with, from another firm, always got stuck next to the "bad airplane person," this was on return flights, somehow, I always ended up next to a pretty young lady that wanted a date.

Finally, on the last flight back that year, we switched tickets due to my luck. Of course, he ended up again next to some huge slobbering man, and I ended up with a viola player for the orchestra who was beautiful.

It can't be karma because I am an ass.

Ah, good times.

Edit: in retrospect, I think this seemingly nice Asian girl was just using me for the free car home. She never called. :(
