most Ohio kids have wanted to play for the Buckeyes since they were knee high
Except some sellouts like Ki-Jana Carter, Desmond Howard, Elvis Grbac, Charles Woodson, to name a few. And this year, Mario Manningham and Mister Simpson. Can anyone point me to a thread on the topic of Ohio star recruits going elsewhere? Having grown up in Ohio, I can never understand why an Ohio high school football player would not jump at the chance of being a Buckeye.

While it's upsetting, not every player can go to OSU. There are just too many top recruits, and with JT's excellent recruiters we are bound to land a good number of OOS'ers. Look at this year, there are a number of good prospects that we are passing on in order to take great ones OOS.

While it is upsetting when a guy like MM chooses elsewhere, I am not bothered by "Ohio kids" choosing to go to TSUN. What bothers me is when a kid who is neutral towards the rivalry chooses to go up there, and he's a player both teams could have landed.

Losing Burgess, Crable, Manningham, Boren is pretty good if you ask me. If Cooper were still here we would have lost Chris Wells, potentially the next clarett (who also came to OSU). We are going to lose a few, but look at all of the studs we've kept the last two years alone:
Wells, CSmith, Ballard, Coleman, Homan, Boone, O'Neal, Lenix, Schoenhoft, Hartline, Wilson, Amos, Cordle, etc. (and should retain Gibson, Small, and others)

JT is doing a great job.
