The new earbuds are niiiice. Decent sound but the big thing is they fit really well in the ears and they don't hurt. They also don't fall out of the ear as well, as I've shaken my head quite a bit

The iPhone 5 black is prone to scratching on the bezel since it is anodized metal. It's the "gate" of this new iphone. The white iphone does not have this issue as the bezel is metal and won't show scratches as much.

Google Maps may be coming to the rescue. Must have Apple approval.

Though I will say in my limited use of iOS navigation, it worked really well.

One more thing that makes all the hand-wringing even more perplexing... Google Maps are still available on your phone as a web app. You can even add the icon to your home screen if you want.

Heck, if/when Google gets the go-ahead on a native 3rd party version of the app, it's just going to to be a skinned version of the web app - just like every other Google app for iOS is.

Two quick glitches on the new Maps:

-Thinks you can get to Crowne Plaza Dublin by taking the 270W ramp over a grass median, rather than the actual route of Frantz to Metro North. (Interestingly, the iPad version got it right)

-Thinks there is a Raising Cane's in the middle of an industrial park on Ridge in Grandview Heights. (Both phone and tablet).

Ohhh Boxwave has a deal right now for most of their cases. It works with $9.99 cases, not sure about the $19.95. But anyways enter in the code "luvapple" in the promotional field during checkout, and you get your case for $1.50 + shipping. Downside is its not available until 9/28

I just bought this one: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/BoxWave-Minimus-Apple-iPhone-Case/dp/B001D27I8G/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1348258779&sr=8-13&keywords=boxwave+iphone+5+case"]Boxwave Minimus[/ame]

Interested in DL speeds (obviously not wifi). If you wouldn't mind posting your perception including carrier, that'd be cool.

Typing on my 4 and likely going to wait until the 5s. No real problems with the 4 and it was a preorder... Only a coupe of minor scratches on the back... No cracks...

Why should they spend/waste time building a app for ios? If you want a device that runs google maps, you know what you should be getting.

That seems like a better question for somebody at Google than for me, since it's reported that they already built the app and submitted it to Apple. It is just awaiting approval.

Besides, you can run Google Maps on pretty much anything since it's available as a web app.
