Baltimore Orioles (3x World Series Champions)

NEW YORK -- The 12th ejection of Brandon Hyde's managerial career was his most unusual.

Hyde was tossed in the eighth inning of the Baltimore Orioles' 14-1 win over the New York Yankees on Thursday night after he argued with Dan Iassogna. The plate umpire had just warned both benches after Wandy Peralta hit Baltimore's Jordan Westburg with a pitch.

"A weird situation -- that's my weirdest ejection of all time," Hyde said. "First one up two touchdowns."

The Skankees were clearly head hunting while getting their asses kicked.

The rest of August is

2 - @Oakland
3 - vs Toronto
3 - vs Colorado
3 - vs Chicago White Sox

They beat Oakland last night too. If they can go 9-3 in this stretch, they can put some distance (hopefully) between them and the Rays. September has 7 games against the Red Sox, 4 against the Rays, 3 against Houston and 4 against Cleveland. They need every game they can get in August.

The greatest 3rd baseman ever - the one that is the measuring stick for literally everyone at the position - passed today at 86 years old.

I got to meet him once in Hagerstown and he signed a program for me. I was 12 so I'll save the usual "He was a nice guy", but he was nice to everyone he interacted with.

From that point, they finished the sweep of Oakland, they won 2/3 from Toronto, they won 2/3 from Colorado and 2/3 from Chicago.

From August 18th (the first Oakland game) onward, they went 26-12 for a .684 winning percentage. That's insane, especially for a team this young. Usually the younger teams tail off in September but these guys got stronger as the year went on.
